Correlation analysis of spiral plate heat exchanger

When the spiral plate heat exchanger is used, if water/water is used as the heat transfer medium, the total heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger can reach 3~5 times of the heat transfer coefficient of the shell and tube heat exchanger, but the volume of the spiral plate heat exchanger is only about 30% of the shell and tube heat exchanger.

Regarding the steam consumption of spiral plate heat exchanger, it should be noted that the steam consumption will be significantly reduced, because the original 1.11kg/s has been reduced to 0.97kg/s, and the steam should be saved per hour :(1.11-0.97)×3600/1000=0.504t.

Spiral plate heat exchanger heat transfer effect: in the case of reduced consumption of steam, heat transfer is greatly improved, water supply temperature will be improved from the original 92℃ to 95℃; Maintenance workload of spiral plate heat exchanger, before the transformation, after each operating cycle, because the heat exchanger scaling, heat exchange effect significantly reduced, need to dismantle, clean the heat exchanger, and in the maintenance, need to remove heat preservation, core pulling and other workload.
After two cycles of operation, the Murphy spiral plate heat exchanger was disassembled and assembled once, which was very convenient.
